JM Industrial Solutions is looking for an experienced Industrial Services Foreman to lead hydroblasting and vacuum truck operations throughout Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Idaho, and the surrounding region.
This position is responsible for the safe execution of industrial cleaning projects including hydroblasting, automated exchanger cleaning, tank cleaning, vacuum truck services, and refinery shutdown work. The Foreman serves as the primary field leader, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Manage day-to-day field operations on multiple industrial projects.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Lead crews during refinery turnarounds, plant outages, and industrial maintenance projects.
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and budget performance.
- Communicate directly with customers, project managers, and plant personnel.
- Ensure projects are completed on time while maintaining company quality standards.
Safety Leadership
- Develop and lead Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Safe Work Plans.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Verify all permits are in place, including:
- Confined Space Entry
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Hot Work
- Line Break
- Excavation (when applicable)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, customer safety requirements, and company policies.
- Investigate incidents, identify corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture.
Hydroblasting Operations
- Supervise manual ultra-high-pressure hydroblasting operations.
- Operate and oversee automated hydroblasting systems for:
- Heat exchangers
- Tube bundles
- Boilers
- Process piping
- Industrial vessels
- Plan cleaning methods and select appropriate tooling for each project.
- Verify equipment inspections and maintenance are completed before use.
Vacuum Truck Operations
- Coordinate vacuum truck crews and operators.
- Oversee industrial tank cleaning and sludge removal.
- Supervise waste handling, transportation, and disposal in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and documentation of waste materials.
Crew Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor technicians and equipment operators.
- Assign daily work tasks and monitor crew performance.
- Promote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Equipment Management
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of hydroblasting units, vacuum trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
- Ensure equipment remains clean, organized, and ready for deployment.
- Track equipment hours, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of industrial services experience.
- Two or more years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Experience leading refinery, petrochemical, power generation, or industrial maintenance projects.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ultra-high-pressure hydroblasting
- Automated hydroblasting systems
- Heat exchanger cleaning
- Industrial tank cleaning
- Vacuum truck operations
- Ability to read project scopes, work plans, and safety documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours during shutdowns and turnarounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B
- OSHA 30
- HAZWOPER 40
- Confined Space Entry/Rescue
- H₂S Certification
- First Aid/CPR
- TWIC Card
- Experience with refinery turnaround planning and execution
