Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation Services to lead and oversee all aspects of rehabilitation programs within our skilled nursing facility. This pivotal role involves managing multidisciplinary clinical teams, ensuring compliance with rehabilitation regulations, and delivering exceptional patient care. Duties
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive rehabilitation programs aligned with best practices and regulatory standards
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure high-quality patient care
- Oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with all rehabilitation regulations, safety protocols, and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and external partners to coordinate patient treatment plans and discharge processes
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans accordingly to optimize recovery outcomes
- Promote a culture of excellence in patient rehabilitation services through ongoing staff training and quality assurance initiatives
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of rehabilitation medicine, physiology, anatomy, and related clinical sciences
- Proven experience managing rehabilitation services within skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation centers
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation regulations and compliance standards at local, state, and national levels
- Exceptional leadership skills in clinical team management and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency in patient care techniques specific to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and disability management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during patient transfers or equipment handling; skilled in manual handling techniques
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems
- Familiarity with sub acute care settings and long-term care environments to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, staff, and external healthcare providers

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
