Concrete Coatings Installer
Location: Greater Houston Area
Job Type: 20–30 Hours/Week to Start, Full-Time Opportunity
Starting Pay: $19/hour
Advancement: Opportunity to become a Crew Foreman ($23–$25/hour) based on performance.
About Herd Coatings:
Herd Coatings is a premium concrete coatings company serving the Greater Houston area. We specialize in one-day garage, patio, and commercial floor coating systems. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to grow with a company from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
As an Installer, you’ll be part of a two or three person crew responsible for transforming concrete surfaces into premium finished floors.
Responsibilities include:
- Grind and prepare concrete using professional diamond grinding equipment
- Repair cracks, pitting, and surface imperfections
- Install polyurea base coats, decorative flake systems, and polyaspartic topcoats
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, truck, and trailer
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation
- Drive the company truck and 14’ enclosed trailer to and from job sites
- Leave door hangers in surrounding neighborhoods after completed jobs
- Help keep equipment clean and ready for the next installation
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who is:
- Hard-working and dependable
- Coachable and eager to learn
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working long days outdoors in the Houston heat
- Detail-oriented and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Able to lift 100+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable operating power tools and equipment (training provided)
- Able to safely drive a full-size truck with a 14’ x 7’ enclosed trailer
- Punctual and reliable
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience towing trailers
- Construction, concrete, flooring, painting, roofing, landscaping, or other hands-on trade experience is a plus—but not required
- Leadership experience is a plus
