Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift - Brown Deer, WI

Shift: 1st shift Monday–Friday, 6am-2:3pm

Pay: $28-$38/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery and mechanical equipment
-
Diagnose equipment issues by observing operations, listening for irregularities, and using precision measuring/testing instruments
-
Remove and replace defective components using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
-
Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment and basic machinist skills
-
Adjust functional parts and control instruments to manufacturer or company specifications
-
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with supervisors and technicians to minimize downtime
-
Operate equipment such as:
- Electric carts
-
Forklifts
-
Articulating boom lifts
-
Manlifts
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Strong computer skills
-
Experience using precision measuring and lifting devices
-
HVAC knowledge
-
Chain drive systems experience
-
Electrical knowledge; PLC experience is a plus

Mechanical troubleshooting skills including:
- Gearbox rebuilds

Belt replacement
-
Motor replacement
-
Conveyor system experience
-
Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge

Ability to read blueprints and schematics
-
Plumbing experience
-
Ability to read, write, and speak English

Ability to safely perform all job duties
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED/HSED equivalent required
-
2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Manufacturing environment experience is a plus
