Duties
- Welcome guests warmly as a Hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Take and relay food orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros, ensuring timely delivery from kitchen to table
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and enthusiasm, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Clear tables promptly by bussing dishes, resetting tables for new guests, and maintaining a tidy dining environment
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, including basic meal assembly or garnishing to support kitchen staff
- Support the delivery process by transporting food from kitchen to tables or designated areas safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness standards through regular cleaning duties, including sanitizing surfaces and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service roles such as server, hostess, busser, or food runner preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally and interact courteously with guests and team members
- Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus; experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is advantageous
- Familiarity with food handling safety standards and dietary accommodations to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent guest relations skills
- Basic culinary knowledge such as knife skills or meat cutting is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift trays or boxes, and perform cleaning duties effectively
