Our Business Office is looking to hire a data-driven professional to support finances, espcially with our grants. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for monitoring grant and contract budgets, preparing reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), reconciling payroll data, and maintaining appropriate documentation. This position fosters accountability through the analysis and reporting of budgets vs. the actual variances and will coordinate all reporting of grants with the appropriate Grant Administrator.
This position is a full-time, classified, and overtime eligible position within the Business Office, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. This position is represented by the Renton Professional Technical Association (Prof-Tech) union at RTC. The salary range for this position is $73,882 - $92,698 annually. Salary is based upon applicable experience. New hires may not be placed above step 10 ($88,782 annually). This does not reflect the general wage increase in July.
