Job - Site Inventory/Supply Chain Associate
Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Pay Rate: $19 - $22/hr. on W2 (based on relevant experience)
Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension
Role Overview
This is an onsite inventory and supply chain position supporting operations at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The main responsibility is to make sure materials and equipment are properly counted, tracked, ordered, received, stored, and reported.
The role involves working with inventory systems, monitoring stock levels, resolving discrepancies, tracking equipment serial numbers, processing material orders, and coordinating with logistics, customer service, suppliers, and the customer.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform regular inventory and cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available to meet customer demand.
- Investigate and correct inventory quantity or location discrepancies.
- Monitor incoming deliveries and verify shipments against documentation.
- Place and receive material orders accurately and on time.
- Open cases for missing, incorrect, damaged, or defective materials.
- Track old and new serial numbers when equipment or components are swapped.
- Maintain secure storage and proper segregation of and non-materials.
- Monitor expiration dates for date-sensitive products.
- Prepare weekly reports covering on-hand, consumed, and defective materials.
- Coordinate with logistics, customer service, suppliers, and other internal teams.
- Learn and use Pointnext tools such as Konnect, SFDC, SharePoint, and Smart Stores.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory, logistics, warehouse, or a related field.
- Experience handling multiple parts and high-volume inventory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with inventory-management or administrative software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to learn -specific tools and processes.

You will be responsible for making sure has the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right location, and that the inventory records are accurate. The job is a combination of inventory control, supply chain coordination, material ordering, shipment verification, and reporting.
