The Opportunity
We're hiring a Senior Industrial Electrical Estimator to join our growing Tempe team. Reporting to the Arizona General Manager, you'll own the pricing and proposal process for industrial and commercial projects across our Arizona market—working hand-in-hand with Account Executives, Foremen, and customers to win and deliver work that meets Delta Wye's standards.
This is a senior-level seat for an estimator who's confident running bids independently, comfortable in front of customers, and ready to help shape how our estimating function scales as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Estimate complete industrial and commercial electrical projects—material, labor, subcontractors, and related costs—with or without customer-supplied engineering drawings
- Build detailed estimates and budgets in our estimating software
- Walk project sites with Account Executives, Foremen, and customers to validate scope before pricing
- Communicate directly with customers to clarify scope, resolve open questions, and protect estimate accuracy
- Coordinate with supporting trades to procure accurate subcontractor quotes
- Partner with internal purchasing to secure best-available material and vendor pricing
- Apply the current National Electric Code (NEC) to every estimate
- Write clear, complete scope narratives that capture working hours, major materials, and project-specific details—ready to drop into a customer proposal
- Produce timely change-order estimates for Foremen and Project Managers
- Submit material requisitions for specialty items and assist Foremen with project-specific ordering
- Keep estimating software, labor rates, and material pricing current
- Contribute to the success of every project—wherever it's needed
