Job Title: Bandsaw Technician
Job Summary:
A Bandsaw Blade Technician produces, sharpens, repairs, and maintains high-quality industrial band saw blades.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Fabricate blades, including welding, grinding, setting, and sharpening to specifications.
Inspect blades for defects, proper alignment, and tension, using precision measuring tools.
Set up and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment.
Read work orders for specific, customized, or standard blade orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in the bandsaw production process, maintenance, and repair.
Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of bandsaws.
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to sharping bandsaws.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
Must be able to see details at close range.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
