Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across diverse routes. You will be expected to shuttle loads between company owned warehouses in Nashville, IL and St. Louis, MO, as well as pick up loads from Cape Girardeau, MO. 7am-3pm shift, home every night! Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers, dry van and dump trucks.
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Deliver freight to various locations while adhering to route schedules; handle logistics cargo with precision and care.
- Ensure proper load securement on dry van trailers; assist with the load & unload process when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
- Comply with all FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations during daily operations; participate in safety training sessions regularly.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with experience operating tractor-trailers; proficiency in manual transmission driving is essential.
- Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle freight manually and operate equipment such as forklifts when required.
- Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures for various types of freight including hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations governing commercial trucking operations.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload activities.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers during deliveries.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
