Responsibilities
- Efficiently clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools responsibly and according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation throughout the kitchen by following health and safety standards related to kitchen health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food handling, sanitation, and food safety management practices.
- Experience with food service operations in restaurants or hospitality environments.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation, including commercial dishwashers and cleaning tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with knife skills and basic food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across the kitchen environment.
- Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous for this energetic role.
