Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food according to recipes and restaurant standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and is committed to delivering excellent food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Set up and stock assigned workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and meets quality and portion standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of supply needs.
- Properly store and label food items.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Help with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Chef.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
