Mowing Foreman positions are a high energy, fast-paced jobs. You will need to work well with others and have experience in supervisory roles. A knowledge of handheld equipment such as weed eaters and blowers as well as mowers is required. Looking for motivated individuals, ready to learn and prepared to do physical labor. Crews travel from job to job throughout each day. Foremen are expected to direct a team, providing training and instruction. Safe worksite practices are required. Valid and insurable driver's license is required. Plenty of room for growth within the company.
Job Duties and Expectations:
- Know mowing route and be familiar with all of the properties on route to be able to effectively and efficiently service properties
- Guarantee company’s quality standards are met at every property on every service and ensure clients are treated with respect and their expectations are exceeded
- Ensure your truck has everything needed for the day and everything is returned
- Fill out mow sheet daily and turn in weekly
- Ensure entire list is completed weekly, which includes working weekends if the weather forces it
- Fill out required paperwork in order to properly report all damages and accidents
- Effectively and efficiently lead a crew of 1 or more
- Know, practice, and teach proper mowing, string trimming, and edging techniques
- Hold small meetings with crew members to inform them of the day’s tasks, property lines, approach, and timeline
- Know the difference between plants and weeds and convey to crew members
- Take pictures and check all properties into proper apps
- Operate zero turn mowers in an efficient and responsible manner
- Operate string trimmers and other small hand equipment
- Take pride in every property serviced
- Stay well-versed on property maintenance trends and techniques
- Manage schedules to maintain efficiency ratings
- Maintain 5 continuing education units (CEU) yearly
Required Skill Sets and Abilities:
- Willingness and ability to operate in the winter for snow removal purposes
Ability to supervise and direct the work of others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to resolve team member concerns with utmost care and concern
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Positive attitude in work and team member management
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years field-relevant experience required
- 1 year supervisor/leadership experience required
- Valid/Insurable Driver’s License
- Knowledge and understanding of SingleOps operating system or willingness to learn
