Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our Toast POS system.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including wine, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting areas, and assisting in food handling as needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the dining experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Familiarity with Toast POS system for order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Beverage expertise including, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and beverage service techniques
