Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead our overnight operations in a dynamic plastic injection molding facility. This pivotal role involves managing staff, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining smooth shift operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production activities for operations during the shift.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to meet production, quality, and safety objectives.
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with MSI safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and production output, escalate issues as needed.
- Coordinate staffing to minimize down time.
- Enforce quality standards, perform audits, and ensure compliance with work instructions and SOPs.
- Communicate shift performance, issues, and priorities during shift handoffs, production meetings, and shift end reports.
- Maintain accurate production, scrap, and down time records.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Coach and evaluate employee performance, support onboarding, and cross-training.
- Identify team member's skills, experience, and ambitions to grow within the organization.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to reach and follow work instructions and production schedules.
- Basic computer skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
