Online Special Education Assistant:
Assist students with a variety of moderate-severe disabilities in grades K-12 in the Boise Online School. Instruction in pre-academic, basic academic, social and behavioral skills is provided on an individual and small-group basis. Pre-vocational and independent life skills instruction is an important component at the secondary level. Students assigned to these classes are included on a part-time basis in general education classes. These classrooms typically have 12-14 students and several classroom assistants.
Once hired, you may be reassigned to another special education classroom or location depending on District need.
Resource Room:
Students with a variety of disabilities, including learning disabilities, in grades K-12 receive part-time special education on an individual or small-group basis to support their advancement in the general education curriculum. Students may come to the Resource Room from their general education classrooms for this instruction and/or may receive adult instruction in their general ed classes.
Once hired, you may be reassigned to another special education classroom or location depending on District need.
