Berry Fields Cafe is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team. We are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts within those hours, including weekends and some holidays.
The host is often the first and last person our guests interact with, making this position an important part of the overall dining experience. We are looking for someone who arrives with a smile, maintains a positive attitude, and takes pride in making every guest feel welcomed and appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Greet every guest promptly with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Welcome guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
- Manage the guest waitlist as needed.
- Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate updates to waiting guests.
- Seat guests promptly when tables become available.
- Answer the restaurant phone professionally and assist with questions.
- Take and organize takeout or pickup orders when needed.
- Keep the entrance, waiting area, menus, and dining room clean and organized.
- Clean and reset tables as needed.
- Assist servers, bussers, and other team members during busy periods.
- Communicate clearly with guests, servers, kitchen staff, and management.
- Help address guest concerns calmly and professionally.
- Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties.
- Follow all restaurant policies, food-safety procedures, and customer-service standards.

Pay is dependent on qualifications.
