Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as a Touchbistro POS, Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details, wine pairings, and specials
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while managing openTable reservations when applicable
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld by following proper food handling procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Experience with food safety protocols and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Knowledge of food industry terminology, food preparation basics, and serving techniques
- Excellent communication skills along with basic math proficiency for cash handling and order calculations
