Digital Press Operator – Full-Time
We are currently seeking one full-time Digital Press Operator responsible for operating and maintaining a digital printing press on a Monday through Friday schedule, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality printed materials using advanced digital printing technology. Responsibilities include monitoring the printing process, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards, and maintaining accurate color output through effective color management practices. You will also perform quality control checks to support overall production efficiency and consistency.
This position requires participation in a structured training period on the day shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), including Saturdays as needed, until full operational competency is achieved. Applicants must be fully available for the training schedule. Candidates unable to commit to the training period should not apply.
Compensation
- Starting base pay: $19.00 per hour
- This position also includes a performance-based bonus structure that allows operators to earn up to approximately $30,480 annually in additional compensation
- Bonus eligibility is based on production performance, efficiency, quality standards, and overall operator consistency, urgency, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor digital printing press equipment
- Ensure print quality and color accuracy meet production standards
- Perform routine quality control checks throughout production
- Troubleshoot basic machine and workflow issues as needed
- Support continuous improvement of production efficiency
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move 40–50 lb boxes of paper and operate a pallet jack
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate industrial machinery with moving parts and automated systems
- Experience working with high-speed production equipment involving automated handling, precision alignment systems, and continuous production cycles
- Ability to monitor and maintain consistent product output across multi-step printing, curing, and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in identifying print defects, alignment issues, and color variations
- Ability to perform routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and operational checks on production equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to machine alerts or production interruptions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in basic computer use and production software interfaces
- Strong communication skills; must be fluent in English
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality required
- Willingness to learn additional machines and production systems as needed
- Availability to work weekends when required
- Ability to distinguish and accurately interpret colors
