About El Shaddai Care Community
El Shaddai Care Community (ESCC) is a compassionate residential group home serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide a safe, respectful, supportive, and home-like environment while helping each resident maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.
We are currently expanding our caregiver team and are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional male caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support the needs of residents in our home.
Responsibilities
The caregiver will assist residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and community participation.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal support and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assisting residents with hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other personal-care needs as assigned
- Preparing and serving meals
- Supporting residents with household routines
- Assisting with recreational activities and community outings
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individual support/care plans
- Completing required daily service documentation
- Observing and reporting changes in residents' condition, behavior, or needs
- Following medication-related procedures within the employee's authorized role and training
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe home environment
- Following ESCC policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and emergency protocols
- Communicating professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and management
- Attending required staff meetings and trainings
Qualifications
Preferred candidates should have experience working as a:
- Caregiver
- Direct Support Professional (DSP)
- Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Personal Support Worker
- Residential Caregiver
- CNA or similar direct-care professional
Candidates must be dependable, patient, compassionate, respectful, and comfortable supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
Applicants must be willing to complete all required background screening, orientation, training, and documentation requirements applicable to the position.
CPR/First Aid and relevant caregiver/direct-care training are strongly preferred.

Schedule
Part-time and/or PRN caregiver shifts may be available. Specific days, hours, and shift assignments will be discussed during the interview based on ESCC's current staffing needs.
