What You'll Do:
- Primarily involved with assisting staff with field tasks supporting geotechnical projects

Responsibilities include clearly documenting site observations for both construction materials testing (CMT) and geotechnical field work performed

Assistung staff with field tasks supporting various construction materials testing projects; Some office work may be performed as you begin to learn about the life cycle of the project
-
Field testing of materials including soils and aggregate, foundations, reinforced and psot-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, asphalt pavement, and fireproofing
-
Document site observations and results in daily reports using proprietary software for construction materials testing (CMT) projects
-
Interact and collaborate with colleagues and clients, including keeping entire project team informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requested on proejct sites; May requite attending project meetings as requested

Begin to learn how to classify soil

Other duties may include assisting with or performing the following with limited supervision:

Perform boring and test pit layouts
-
Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances
-
Perform research on local geologic history
-
Assist with supervision of field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues.

Perform in-situ testing
-
Classify soils
-
Keep project staff informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications

Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required

No experience required
-
Professional license is not required in this position but is necessary to progress in career

If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.

The expected pay range for this role and location is $25-$35/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
