Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives, including onboarding new team members, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Manage shift operations by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours, and maintaining smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular inspections and staff training on proper handling procedures.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining experience that encourages repeat business.
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment that adheres to health codes and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service, casual dining or fine dining experience is REQUIRED
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a hospitality setting; ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling accuracy required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and profit analysis effectively.
- Prior experience in restaurant management or culinary leadership roles; assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food industry standards including catering, banquet service, bar operations, and food production processes.
- Strong communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing staff, training team members, and coordinating with other departments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
