Job description:
ProShop & Cart Attendants play a key role in delivering excellent customer service to our guests. As a Greensboro National employee, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations while maintaining a welcoming, clean, and organized environment throughout the clubhouse facility and course property. Candidates must be coachable and willing to learn both inside and outside positions to assist management’s operational requirements across all departments.
Greensboro National Golf Club is currently hiring multiple qualified candidates for this dual role in the pro shop and assisting with outside duties listed below. ProShop Duties & Responsibilities:
- · Greeting members and guests warmly, providing exceptional customer service.
- · Assist customers with purchases of golf merchandise, apparel, and equipment.
- · Operate point-of-sales (POS) system for transactions and tee-time check-ins.
- · Manage tee sheet reservations and coordinate with starters/marshals on daily play.
- · Answer phones, provide course information, and assist with scheduling tee times.
- · Maintain cleanliness and organization of the club facilities and property
- · Restock shelves, fold apparel, and assist with receiving and tagging new inventory.
- · Promote upcoming events, tournaments, and merchandise specials.
- · Communicate effectively with other club staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- · Assist staff across departments to ensure club efficiency and effectiveness daily.
- · Enforce club rules and policies in a respectful and professional manner.
- · Perform opening and closing duties, including balancing the register and securing ProShop
Cart attendant/Bag drop attendant Duties & Responsibilities:
- · Attending bag drop area for arriving and departing golfers and guests
- · Cleaning, prepping, and staging the carts used for play.
- · Picking the driving range, cleaning range balls
- · Changing of garbage bin bags.
- · Changing water coolers on the course.
- · Looking/acting in professional manner while being the front line of customer service.
- · Ensure that no outside alcohol/coolers or food and other beverages are brought onto the facility grounds by NC State Statutes and Club Policies.
Qualifications:
- · Previous customer service or retail experience preferred (golf industry experience a plus).
- · Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- · Friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude.
- · Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- · Basic computer and POS system skills.
- · Knowledge of golf and golf products is helpful but not required.
- · Must be reliable and punctual.
Work Schedule:
- · Flexible schedules include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- · Seasonal and year-round positions may be available.
Physical Requirements:
- · Ability to stand for extended periods.
- · Light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) for stocking and merchandise handling and range ball restocking
- · Keeping a neat and clean personal appearance and adhering to the club’s policies and procedures while working and on club property at all times.
