*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in painting and restoration, with the ability to work on various projects, including residential and commercial properties. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our quality standards of fine interior and exterior painting.
*Duties*
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Restore surfaces by repairing drywall or woodwork as needed; basic carpentry skills are a plus.
- Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition; familiarity with basic power tools is essential.
- Collaborate with others while also having the ability to work independently, ensuring project timelines and expectations are met.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
*Experience*
- Previous experience in painting or related construction work is REQUIRED.
*Painting experience at residential and/or commercial job sites is a must.
- Knowledge of construction site practices and safety regulations are important. Many jobs will require OSHA10 certification.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, while being respectful of various personalities is essential. Each job is unique and requires different skill sets and different levels of manpower.
- Familiarity with caulking techniques is beneficial.
Fitzgerald Painting does Interior and Exterior painting for both residential and commercial customers and has over 20 years of experience. We primarily work in the Hampden and Hampshire Counties of Western Mass but occasionally will have work just outside of this area. Must have your own vehicle for transportation in order to work at various job sites in the area from day to day. Flexible hours are available if you are looking for part-time work, though full-time is preferred.
