Job Summary:
Eagle’s Wing Child Care and Education Programs is looking for a passionate assistant teacher to join our infant and toddler teaching team!
Eagle’s Wing is a highly diverse childcare center on the UW-Madison campus that provides early-childhood, 4K, and school-age programs for children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. We offer a high quality, child-initiated and play-based learning environment, and are known for our multicultural, international community. Our dedicated educators work in a supportive work environment, teaming with other teachers and UW student staff to role-model a multicultural, inclusive, and anti-bias approach to learning and educational environments.

Work Schedule:

Primary schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the center’s hours of operation.

Work schedule will be set with selected finalist(s) at time of offer.
Compensation:

The starting hourly wage is $19.00 or higher based on qualifications, with a competitive retirement and benefits package, including vacation, holidays, and paid time off.

Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum of one (1) year working in full day play-based Early Childhood Education environments and completion of the Early Childhood Courses “Introduction to the Child Care Profession” and “Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care”
OR
-
Successful completion of Associate’s Degree or higher, in Early Childhood Education.
Preferred Qualifications:

Training in High Scope, Pyramid Model, and/or Conscious Discipline
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
