Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring their comfort
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as injections, medication administration, and basic life support interventions
- Manage patient intake processes and update Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately with relevant medical information and ICD coding
- Conduct routine diagnostic tasks such as measuring vital signs, performing basic anatomy and physiology assessments, and supporting emergency medicine procedures
- Assist with specimen collection, medication administration, and basic wound care in various clinical environments
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a positive experience during every visit
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards
- Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers or outpatient settings
- Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation and patient record management
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, intake procedures, medication administration, and emergency response techniques
- Competence in handling diverse patient populations including geriatrics in PICU or other specialized units
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
