We’re looking for a Beginner Pottery Wheel Instructor to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who’s friendly, patient, and excited to introduce others to the pottery wheel. You’ll work with both kids and adults—teaching basic techniques, guiding first-time users, and helping them create something they’re proud of.
What You’ll Do
- Lead beginner pottery wheel lessons for 1 - 2 people
- Demonstrate wheel basics and offer hands-on support
- Encourage creativity while helping students feel confident and safe
Support the Studio
- Welcome and check in pottery wheel lesson participants
- Assist with trimming and firing student work
- Help keep the wheel area clean and organized
Qualifications
- Experience using a pottery wheel (teaching experience is a plus, but not required)
- Friendly, encouraging, and confident working with both adults and kids
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting
- Willing to pitch in with non-wheel-related studio tasks
- Available evenings
- Reliable transportation
- No formal art degree needed—just a love for pottery and helping others
