This contract opportunity begins August 3, 2026 and continues through May 27, 2027, providing full-time hours each week during the school calendar. Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (DOE Cert) required
- Ability to pass district-specific credentialing processes, including drug screening and fingerprinting
- Expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation within educational settings
- Strong collaborative skills to work with educators, administrators, and families
- Experience supporting diverse student populations is a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct psychological assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention services to students
- Participate in interventions, student support team meetings, and IEP sessions
- Consult with faculty and families to promote the academic, social, and emotional success of students
- Carry out evaluations and develop individualized plans in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Maintain thorough records and documentation per district protocols
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students of all ages
This role is full time, Monday through Friday, with 35 hours per week. The specific caseload and schools assigned will be determined prior to the start date. Candidates will benefit from a streamlined credentialing and interview process, with most interviews occurring within 24 hours and decisions made almost immediately afterward.
