Passarelli Builders & Design is a residential remodeling company serving Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Burr Ridge, Naperville, Elmhurst, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Downers Grove, La Grange, Western Springs, Lombard, Woodridge, and Westmont. We build kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and full home remodels — and we're growing.
The Role
Due to promotion and expansion, we're looking for a Lead Carpenter who can run a crew at pace without sacrificing quality. This isn't just a carpentry job — it's a leadership role. You'll be the person on-site who keeps a project moving, holds the standard for finished work, and makes the day-to-day calls that keep a job on schedule and on budget.
What you'll do
- Lead a crew through all phases of residential remodeling projects — framing, finish work, and everything in between
- Keep jobs moving at a strong pace while maintaining the craftsmanship our clients expect
- Read plans and specs, and make sound on-site judgment calls when things come up
- Coordinate with our Project Manager on scheduling, materials, and job progress
- Mentor and direct other carpenters on the crew
- Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized job site
What We're Looking For
- 8–12 years of overall carpentry experience, ideally in residential remodeling (kitchens, baths, basements, additions)
- At least 3–5 years specifically leading or supervising a crew — we need someone who's already done this, not someone ready to try it for the first time
- Strong, demonstrated craftsmanship across framing and finish carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and specs, and troubleshoot issues on the fly
- Clear communicator — with your crew, your PM, and occasionally clients on-site
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Own hand tools; comfortable with standard power tools and equipment

- Pay: $31–$36/hour, based on experience and demonstrated leadership track record
