Buyer/Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:

Order materials and services

Manage purchasing information and systems

Track receipts and evaluate supplier delivery performance

Manage supplier relationships and service level agreements

Administer purchasing contracts
-
Monitor and manage raw material inventories
-
Work with other departments to forecast required purchases

Develop and maintain periodic reports as needed

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-
Effective interpersonal skills
-
2-3 years’ experience with above responsibilities

Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of software programs commonly used in business

Ability and willingness to learn

Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical and drug screen prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational skills

ERP experience

Experience with computer spreadsheets and databases
Awareness of packaging and transportation regulations
