Lathe Machinist
We are seeking an experienced Lathe Machinist to join our team. This position involves setting up and operating manual lathes to machine high-quality custom parts, including mechanical tubing and large components. The ideal candidate has strong machining skills, attention to detail, and experience working with precision equipment.
Pay is based on experience!
Essential Duties:
Set up and operate manual lathes to perform turning, facing, boring, threading, and grooving operations
Machine parts to specifications using blueprints and technical drawings
Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment
Perform basic machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications:
Experience operating and setting up manual lathes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using precision measurement tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to safely handle large parts and stand for extended periods
Overhead crane experience preferred
