As our Front Office Director, you'll set the vision and standards for every guest interaction, leading a multi-faceted team to deliver seamless, memorable stays. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality leader who excels at balancing operational excellence with revenue strategy and team development.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Your Role:
As the Front Office Director, you'll drive the strategic direction and daily excellence of the Front Office and Guest Services teams. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Direct and mentor Front Office leadership, fostering a culture of attentiveness, professionalism, and service excellence throughout the guest journey.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex guest requests and complaints, ensuring swift resolution and long-term guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and staff, building a strong succession pipeline.
- Own room revenue strategy in partnership with Revenue Management, analyzing forecasts, rate strategy, occupancy trends, and market positioning.
- Oversee credit, billing, and no-show revenue processes to ensure accuracy and maximize profitability.
- Partner with Accounting on purchase orders, invoices, chargebacks, and discrepancy resolution.
- Direct all Front Office reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of end-of-month and forecasting deadlines.
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll, labor forecasting, and scheduling across all Front Office functions.
- Establish and monitor service, upselling, and reservation standards across the guest lifecycle.
- Maintain key control systems, safety protocols, and the overall presentation of lobby and public spaces.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with Sales, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure a seamless guest experience property-wide.
- Participate in required M.O.D. and Night Audit coverage as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of progressive hotel Front Office experience required.
- Previous management experience required; Front Office Manager or Assistant Director experience preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is preferred.
- Must be proficient with Windows operating systems and hotel PMS platforms.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in revenue management principles preferred.
