Summary
The Education Specialist will coordinate academic instruction for the Advantage After-School Program and Advantage Summer Program at MS 113 The Ronald Edmonds Learning Center.
Programming occurs at MS 113 The Ronald Edmonds Learning Center. Flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate day school learning into Advantage programming.
- Collaborate with teachers, instructors, and group leaders to support student academic and social development.
- Observe classroom instructions.
- Facilitate academic instruction for Scholars Lab (mathematics, English, etc.).
- Assist in student recruitment.
- Inform parents/guardians about student progress.
- Prepare required reports, surveys, and attendance forms; maintain appropriate records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology or Social Work. License in Education or Social Work required. Applicants must be proficient in MS Window XP, Word, Excel, Vista, and Power Point. Five (5) years of teaching and/or administrative experience. Experience in out-of-school programming.
