At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Oxford, AL.
The working hours for this role are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $85,000.

The Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards required to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.
- Checking, verifying, and generating certification packs to meet customer contractual requirements.
- Assist in the creation of custom rework routings within ERP.
- Data entry into ERP and QMS as needed.
- Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
- Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues; Carry out product, process, and workmanship auditing.
- Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
- Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, parts per million (PPM) figures.
- Training and mentoring production roles as needed to support effective understanding and maintaining compliance to the QMS.
- Submitting First Article Inspection plans and fixed process approvals in customer portals or other formats as needed.

Requirements:
Experience of working within a metallurgy environment and a clear understanding of ISO 9001. Additional experience of leading and managing teams is advantageous but not essential.
We are keen to hear from individuals who are passionate about quality and cross functional auditing with experience in root cause analysis tools including DMAIC, FMEA, 8D etc.
