Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Provide expert psychiatric leadership, guiding clinical practices and ensuring adherence to medical standards and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, NCQA standards, and FDA regulations.
- Oversee the management of medical records, documentation accuracy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy laws.
- Lead clinical development initiatives, integrating evidence-based practices and current research to enhance patient care quality.
- Supervise medical staff, including psychiatrists, nurses, and support personnel, fostering professional growth through mentoring and supervision.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and mental health best practices.
- Manage utilization review processes, including managed care protocols and utilization management strategies to optimize resource use while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Oversee hospital experience operations, ensuring seamless integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) for efficient documentation and data retrieval.
- Coordinate clinical research projects related to psychiatric treatments or new medication trials in compliance with FDA regulations.
- Participate in budgeting activities, resource allocation, and project management efforts to support organizational goals effectively.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Psychiatry; prior experience as a Medical Director preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of managed care systems, healthcare management principles, and hospital operations.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems along with a solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical development processes.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, NCQA standards, FDA guidelines for clinical research, and utilization management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and implementing quality improvement initiatives within mental health services.

Pay: $1.00 - $11,111.00 per year
