Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Two years relevant administrative support experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs administrative support duties for Transfer Partnerships and Early College Credit and Faculty Records and Reporting areas. This is a part-time, salary, benefits eligible position, working 20 hours per week. Specific hours and workdays to be determined.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs administrative support duties. Creates and maintains accuracy of information within Transfer Maps associated with transfer partners and Transfer Guides, which are updated for each catalog cycle. Assists with process updates for Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Transfer Maps, and Transfer Guides. Assists with course schedule requests between dual credit school districts, SHSU academic departments, and the Office of the Registrar. Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data. Assists with digital and physical document management. Accurately enters data into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital platforms. Verifies the accuracy and completeness of data entries, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies. Coordinates and implements departmental processes. Monitors project timelines and identifies issues. Prepares routine faculty contract reports and data summaries. Plans and coordinates MOU signing events. Develops, coordinates, and implements assigned processes. Reviews, revises, and interprets policies and procedures. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes documents and correspondence. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications
Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office systems. Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Internet, and Outlook. Banner experience preferred. Ability to handle large volumes of data entry with speed and accuracy is critical. Work requires the ability to perform work of considerable complexity which involves working independently towards general results, devising new work methods, interpreting policy, or meeting new conditions necessitating a high degree of ingenuity, initiative, and judgment. Must be able to work collaboratively with coworkers and provide a high level of customer service at all times. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement. Attention and care are required in the performance of duties to prevent injury to self or others.
