Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation and repair of glass for commercial buildings. This role requires a strong attention to detail proficiency with both hand and power tools. The Glazier will be responsible for ensuring that all glass installations meet safety standards and are completed with precision.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace glass in windows, doors, and other fixtures.
- Perform door hanging tasks to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Assist in fixture installation as required by project specifications.
- Engage in heavy lifting as needed to transport glass panels and materials.
- Collaborate with other construction site workers to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the construction site.
Requirements
- Preferred experience as a Glazier or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to glass installation.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to glass installation work.
- Measuring and marking glass and cut glass using glass cutters or other cutting tools
- Installing glass panels or curtain walls on buildings using hand and power tools
- Replacing damaged glass in existing structures and fixtures
- Assembling and installing prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of building
