As a Leasing Professional, you will be the friendly face and expert guide for prospective residents, showcasing the property’s best features while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and local landlord-tenant laws. Duties
- Greet prospective residents warmly, providing detailed tours of available units and community amenities to highlight key features and benefits.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Utilize property management software to input data, track leads, and maintain organized records of prospects and residents.
- Assist with marketing efforts by upselling available units and promoting community events or special offers to prospective tenants.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements during all leasing activities.
- Handle lease negotiations, prepare contracts, and explain lease terms clearly to applicants while addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, maintaining tenant files, and managing correspondence via phone or email with excellent etiquette.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins/move-outs and ensure units are ready for new residents.
- Manage conflict resolution with current tenants or prospects by applying effective conflict management techniques to foster positive relationships.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures ensures transparent leasing practices.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette to create positive interactions with prospects and residents.
- Demonstrated ability in sales, upselling techniques, negotiation skills, and contract management to maximize occupancy rates.
- Office experience including data entry, filing, and using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools enhances efficiency.
- Ability to handle conflict professionally while maintaining a friendly demeanor in fast-paced environments.
