ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As a CMA, you will play a key role in supporting both patients and providers by:
- Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
- Preparing patients and exam rooms
- Recording vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints using EMR systems
- Performing phlebotomy and collecting lab specimens, including CLIA-waived testing
- Administering medications and injections under supervision
- Performing basic X-rays
- Educating patients and providing follow-up instructions
- Managing patient calls, messages, and prescription requests
- Maintaining supplies, sterilizing instruments, and following OSHA standards
- Supporting efficient patient flow and maintaining a safe clinical environment

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or AMT required)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Primary Care experience and 1 year of Urgent Care experience
- Fluency in Spanish required
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Experience with EMR (Epic) systems
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and injections
- Portuguese preferred
