What You'll Do
As a Production Welder, you will use welding equipment, power tools, and measuring devices to join metal components and complete fabricated products.
Responsibilities:
- Weld metal components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Set up and operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Inspect materials and parts before welding
- Verify parts meet job specifications
- Monitor weld quality and identify defects or workmanship issues
- Measure finished work using straightedges, templates, and other tools
- Read and follow work instructions, production requirements, and specifications
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least 6 months of welding or metal fabrication experience
- Ability to operate welding equipment and tools
- Ability to inspect welds and identify visible defects
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, climb, balance, and handle materials
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certificate or vocational welding training
- Production welding experience
- Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience
- Ability to read basic welding drawings, templates, and specifications
- 4+ years of welding experience for higher-level pay consideration
Pay
$20-$24 per hour, based on experience, welding ability, training, and qualifications.
