Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. You will work on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural steel, piping, and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join various metals according to industry standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, piping systems, and other custom components while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, rigging gear, and machining tools safely to handle heavy materials and assemblies on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, rigging, and construction site procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities involving welding and fabrication tasks.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; experience with <LOCATION> welding preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and soldering equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication practices.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication projects.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, assembly processes, ductwork fabrication, and schematic interpretation.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other lifting equipment; certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a safety-first mindset; strong communication skills are essential for teamwork on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
