Preferred candidates will have:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in New Jersey
- Experience within school-based settings (elementary, middle, and high schools)
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop effective, individualized therapy plans
- Collaborative approach and flexibility across age groups and teams
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, compliance, and accurate documentation
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct and consultative speech and language services to students with a variety of needs
- Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals in line with student assessments
- Meeting regularly with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student progress and advocate for inclusive practices
- Maintaining timely, compliant records and progress notes
- Helping identify innovative solutions to maximize student growth in communication skills
- Supporting students from diverse backgrounds as they gain confidence and reach educational milestones
