Job Title: Event Security Officer
Job Summary: As a Security Officer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within our premises. Your primary responsibility will be to protect our property, assets, staff, and visitors from potential risks and security threats.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the premises, monitoring for suspicious activity, and ensuring all areas are secure.
- Security Monitoring: Utilize surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras and alarms, to keep a vigilant eye on the property and promptly respond to any security breaches or incidents.
- Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly and decisively in emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances, following established protocols and assisting with evacuations if needed.
- Report Writing: Document all security-related incidents, maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Collaboration: Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant agencies as necessary, cooperating with external parties to address security concerns effectively.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance, guidance, and a sense of security to employees, visitors, and clients while upholding a professional and approachable demeanor.
Requirements:
State of Florida D-License required, or the ability to have a license issued before commencing position.
- Proven experience in a security-related role, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- Knowledge of security operations, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods.
- First aid/CPR certification and familiarity with relevant laws and regulations is advantageous.
