Job Description: As a Shipping and Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customer orders are accurately prepared and shipped on time. You will follow packing slips to gather, package, and prepare orders for shipping. Additionally, you will assist the supervisor with warehouse organization and maintenance as needed. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow packing slips to accurately gather and package customer orders.
- Prepare orders for shipping, ensuring all items are securely packed and labeled correctly.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the warehouse, including inventory management and cleanliness.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments as needed.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours) during the work shift.
- Work overtime hours during busy seasons as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow packing slips and safety instructions.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for the duration of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent team cooperation and communication skills.i
