Main Street UMC Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for helping meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs of each child while ensuring their safety and well-being. Qualified candidates must possess or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and successfully complete a background check. Responsibilities include assisting with daily classroom routines and activities, preparing materials, maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment, modeling appropriate behavior, supervising children, supporting classroom management, maintaining open and professional communication with families and staff, attending required meetings and trainings, assisting with record keeping, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom. The Assistant Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher, Director, and other staff members to promote teamwork, uphold the policies and philosophy of Main Street UMC Preschool, participate in school events, and contribute to a high-quality early childhood program. Candidates should be dependable, flexible, positive, and passionate about helping children learn and grow in a Christian preschool setting. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the overall mission and operation of the preschool.
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per day
