Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, professional, and sales-focused Area Relationship Manager to grow a territory & manage school fundraising partnerships through our proprietary event-based program. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a highly interactive position that combines business development, event execution, client relationship and motivation management, marketing, leadership, and community engagement.
We need someone who is very comfortable wearing many hats: prospecting new opportunities, presenting to school leadership and parent groups (20-200 attendees), managing event logistics, leading teams, and delivering an exceptional experience for both our clients and our customers. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, personal accountability, and the ability to perform well in both independent & team environments.
Although this is a seasonal business, with heavier workloads during the spring & fall fundraising seasons, this is a YEAR-ROUND, salary plus commission position with lighter schedules during portions of the summer and winter.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify and develop relationships with schools, booster clubs, athletic programs, music programs, PTOs, and community organizations
- Prospect through cold calls, phone calls, emails, networking, referrals, in-person meetings, and conventions and clinics
- Schedule and conduct presentations with school administrators, coaches, directors, and parent organizations
- Asking for the sale on the 1st presentation
- Maintain and manage a healthy sales pipeline and consistent deal flow
- Follow up consistently and professionally with prospective clients
Client & School Partnership Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for school fundraising partners
- Guide school groups through established planning and preparation process
- Build long-term relationships through exceptional communication and service
- Emphatically help clients maximize participation, marketing reach, and fundraising results
- Resolve issues quickly and professionally
Event Execution
- Coordinate and run fundraising events, primarily on weekends
- Manage event setup, breakdown, logistics, and overall execution (these events should run like a well-oiled machine, with the process being the same for each event!)
- Lead and direct event staff and team members during fundraiser events
- Ensure a professional, energetic, and organized event experience
- Represent the company and brand with professionalism at all times
Marketing & Promotions
- Assist schools with marketing strategies to increase event awareness and attendance (don’t worry, we have a process that works!)
- Help create and distribute promotional materials and social media content
- Support grassroots marketing initiatives within local communities
Presentations & Communication
- Deliver both large and small group presentations with confidence and professionalism
- Communicate effectively with school leadership, parents, volunteers, customers, and team members
- Educate clients and customers on the fundraiser process and benefits
Team Leadership & Operations
- Help manage and support event staff and team members
- Assist with training, accountability, and operational execution
- Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, processes, and client experience
- Maintain regular check points with corporate

- Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously

- Comfortable working evenings and weekends during peak seasons
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Sales, fundraising, marketing, education, event management, or customer service experience preferred
- Leadership or team management experience is a plus
Work Schedule & Environment
- Flexible but demanding seasonal schedule
- Combination of weekday, weeknight, and weekend work
- Spring and fall are peak fundraising seasons
- Portions of summers and winter are lighter workloads
- Moderate local travel required for meetings and fundraiser events

Compensation
- Base salary and commission structure depending on experience
- High performance-based earning potential

- 1st year income expectation: $60k-$90k; 2nd year income expectation: $70k-$100k; 3rd year income expectation: $100k+
Training & Development
- Initial paid training program conducted in the Midwest for approximately 4–6 weeks
- Hands-on robust learning focused on fundraising operations, event execution, sales processes, presentations, and client management
- Ongoing mentored field training provided after initial onboarding
- Continued coaching, leadership support, and professional development opportunities as skills and responsibilities grow
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
