Overview
We are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Dahlonega, GA. In this role, you will set up, operate, and program CNC milling equipment to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. This is a hands-on position for someone with strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and experience selecting tooling, adjusting feeds and speeds, and inspecting finished parts.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently
- Program and edit CNC controllers using G-code and similar programming methods
- Select proper tooling, cutters, feeds, and speeds for each job
- Develop and use effective workholding fixtures
- Produce parts to print and within required tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to maintain quality and productivity
- Perform routine machine and tooling checks
- Follow all shop safety, quality, and production procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the machine trade
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with CNC milling machines, including setup and programming
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code
- Ability to read and work from detailed specifications, prints, and tolerances
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges
- Ability to work day shift between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems
- Experience building or improving workholding fixtures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience in precision manufacturing environments
