The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the receiving and delivery of our products, raw materials, and related items. Key functions include product delivery, conducting product checks, packaging, and maintaining delivery trucks.
Essential Functions:
Delivery:
- Pickup & Deliver products for the companies customers.
Product Checks:
- Inspect materials shipped to customers to ensure proper packaging.
Packaging:
- Package products according to our packaging instructions and/or customer packaging specifications.
- Assemble crates using power tools while wearing appropriate PPE.
Loading:
- Secure products in the vehicle properly to prevent load shifting or damage during transport.
Delivery Truck Maintenance:
- Periodically check the oil in the delivery Van.
- Track truck/van mileage and perform other routine checks.
- Complete a weekly vehicle maintenance checklist.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a valid DOT certification.
- Pass a background check, including a driving record check, with continual monitoring of the driving record yearly.
- Comply with all federal and state driving laws
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Ability to write and/or edit simple correspondence, work instructions
