Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented R&D Technician to join our research team. In this role, you will support the development of new products and processes by performing laboratory experiments, maintaining rigorous documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will be vital in advancing our scientific initiatives and ensuring quality and safety in all research activities.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside R&D scientists to evaluate new ingredients and develop beverage formulations.
- Measure, mix, and prepare laboratory samples according to established procedures.
- Arrange and process samples for analytical testing and sensory evaluations.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of experiments, observations, and testing activities.
- Input laboratory results into databases and assist with reviewing and interpreting collected data.
- Participate in pilot plant operations and provide technical support during production trials.
- Monitor laboratory inventory levels and maintain accurate records of supplies and materials.
- Follow all laboratory safety guidelines and perform assigned work in a safe and responsible manner.
- Conduct laboratory activities in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and operating efficiently at all times.
- Balance multiple assignments while effectively managing priorities and supporting project timelines.
- Communicate scheduling conflicts or competing work priorities to ensure smooth project execution.
- This role requires daily onsite attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous laboratory experience obtained through coursework, research, internships, or industry; food and beverage experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, analytical instruments, and beverage or food processing operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when performing laboratory work.
- Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
