Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all items are processed accurately, safely, and in compliance with trade regulations. Responsibilities
- Process orders for shipment at primary and offsite warehouse
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight carriers
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are current for order fulfillment and perform cycle counts
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards during cross-border shipments
- Organize storage areas for optimal space utilization and easy access for picking and stocking activities
- Assist with loading/unloading of bulk tankers, LTL trucks
- Receive incoming materials
- Operate and drive a forklift
- Follow ISO procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving operations, or related roles with a strong understanding of warehouse processes preferred
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely preferred
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards relevant to shipping logistics preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weight measurements, quantities, and dimensions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order labeling, and documentation
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch
